Is PartPin free, and how do I start?
Yes to start. The Zero-Results Autopsy needs no sign-up and no key, and getting an API key is free and instant at /get-key. The Free plan is not a trial: 1,000 resolves a month on up to 25,000 catalog SKUs. Sign-up, the dashboard and catalog upload never cost anything.
What does it cost after that?
Published bands, no meter and no sales call: Counter $99 / month, Branch $299 / month, Chain $699 / month. Nothing is charged until you choose a band. Details are on /pricing.
Will it ever hand my customer the wrong part?
PartPin only asserts a match when the identifier is exact (after strict normalization) or a cross-reference you loaded. Anything fuzzy is returned as a candidate marked verify. A confidently wrong match is worse than no result, so it prefers no result.
Does it use AI?
No. Every tier of the resolver is deterministic. There is no language-model call in the product.
Whose catalog data is it, and what do you store?
Your catalog stays yours. The privacy policy lists exactly what is stored (your email, your catalog, the queries your customers type), who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and how to export or delete it.
How do I reach a person?
Email [email protected]. Catalogs larger than the biggest band get a written flat price agreed in advance.
